East Wenatchee, WA – A number of changes will take place after this week at the mass vaccination site at the Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee, including a transition in staff, new hours of operation and a new COVID-19 testing site.
The National Guard and Washington State Department of Health (DOH) have managed the mass vaccination site in Wenatchee since late January. This Friday, May 28, is the last day the mass vaccination site will be operated by the National Guard and DOH staff.
Beginning next Tuesday, June 1, Chelan-Douglas Health District (CDHD) will continue to operate the mass vaccination site, which will also include a COVID-19 testing site in collaboration with Lifeline Ambulance.
CDHD will continue to offer the COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine which is currently the only vaccine approved under emergency authorization for individuals as young as 12 years old.
All testing and vaccinations are open to walk-ins and do not require pre-registration. However, if individuals would like to secure a specific date and time for a COVID-19 vaccine, pre-registration via PrepMod is still available at https://prepmod.doh.wa.gov/ or by calling 509-886-6487 if you have language or technology barriers. To stay informed on current COVID-19 testing and the COVID-19 vaccine, visit www.cdhd.wa.gov and follow CDHD on Facebook and Twitter.
