East Wenatchee, WA – Beginning next week, Chelan-Douglas Health District (CDHD) will offer COVID-19 testing from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. COVID-19 vaccines will only be offered on Fridays from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.
The change in operations is due to a decrease in demand for COVID-19 testing and vaccines. CDHD wants to continue to offer COVID-19 resources to the community and will continue to do so with its limited schedule.
COVID-19 testing is open to everyone ages 2+ and pre-registration is no longer required. Anyone who believes they were exposed to COVID-19 (with or without symptoms) can get tested.
First, second and booster doses of the COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine will be offered to adults and children ages 5+ on Fridays only. Pre-registration is not required and individuals under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
CDHD partnered with various organizations and community agencies to offer free at-home test kits throughout Chelan and Douglas counties. A detailed list of the various distribution sites is available on CDHD’s website.
