East Wenatchee, WA – Starting Monday, July 18, Chelan-Douglas Health District (CDHD) will expand its limited COVID-19 testing schedule to daily operations, running Monday through Friday from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm through July.
The change in operations is due to an increase in demand for COVID-19 testing and CDHD’s effort to support local healthcare workforce. Local healthcare organizations have reported an influx of symptomatic individuals seeking in-person COVID-19 testing during the current COVID-19 surge, increasing potential exposure to healthcare employees.
If you are exposed to COVID-19 or experience COVID-like symptoms, get tested at Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee. The drive-thru testing site will open Monday through Friday from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm through July. No appointment is needed and walk-ins are welcome. Test results are typically available within 15-20 minutes.
CDHD continues to offer FREE COVID-19 home test kits throughout various locations in Chelan and Douglas counties. Visit https://www.cdhd.wa.gov/covid-19#testing for a COVID-19 home test kit distribution site near you. To report at-home test results and access care services through Care Connect Washington, call 1-800-525-0127. Language assistance is available.
People who test positive for COVID-19 or those who are waiting on test results should isolate at home. You should isolate regardless of your vaccination status. Learn more about proper isolation and what to do if you test positive here.
