Naloxone, is an opioid blocking drug that has proven effective at reversing opioid-related overdoses and is an essential first aid to be used before emergency services can arrive. It is easy to administer and safe to use.
As the nation-wide opioid epidemic continues to grow, CDHD is dedicated to ensuring the safety of our communities from accidental overdoses. We encourage anyone who is concerned that they may encounter an opioid overdose situation while at work or their home to access the new vending machine. Each Naloxone dose will come with easy to use instructions.
Access to the Community Medical Needs Vending Machine will be available Monday-Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm and on Friday from 9 am to 12 pm, except for on holidays.
